1.zeroconf (aka Apple’s Bonjour) discovers your colleagues autonomously; ad-hoc, without the need for installing or configuring anything.
2.A novel RMI extension to zeroconf finds remote objects on the subnet without having an RMI registry or several Jini services running.
3.Peer-to-peer: The lack of any central server allows you to use Brainchild wherever you are. Neither do you need any infrastructure nor access to the internet. Therefore, in the future you can meet in the beer-garden, as well.
